HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges her contract was terminated and that she is still owed bonuses and commissions.

Rita Karpel filed a complaint on June 11 in the Harris County District Court against Farmfolio Holdings LLC, J. Dax Cook and Peter Kern alleging breach of contract, fraud and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired by the defendant in 2016 as a vice president of business development. The suit states she was terminated in the same year in November.

The plaintiff holds Farmfolio Holdings LLC, Cook and Kern responsible because the defendants allegedly owe her $6,500 plus commissions and bonuses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of no more than $70,000 and such other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by C. Thomas Schmidt of Schmidt Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
