HOUSTON – An alleged shooting at a local gentlemen’s club earlier this year is the subject of a Harris County woman’s lawsuit.

In the suit filed on June 25 in the Harris County 234th District Court, Yethzel Serna Esquivel claims an unidentified employee of the establishment shot her last Jan. 20.

Listed as defendants are Far Entertainment, L.L.C., doing business as Eden Gentlemen’s Club and/or Bare Elegance; Club AM, Zaheer Ahmad Babar; DXB Richmond, Inc.; Showtime Houston; Eden; Luis Alfredo Rangel; and Guardian Patrol Services.

Prior to the subject event, court documents say, Esquivel, her husband, and friends – arriving in three different vehicles – were instructed to pay $40 to park only to be told the parking lot lacked open spaces and to park outside the gate.

Instead, the group requested a refund, to which the respondents’ employee declined.

Esquivel further explains that she stepped out of her vehicle to speak to her husband “when she saw an employee of the defendants pointing a gun at one of her friends.”

“When she got closer to their area, this employee… suddenly shot the plaintiff,” the suit says.

The defendants are faulted for premises liability, negligence, and gross negligence.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Cristobal M. Galindo of Houston.
