HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was injured at a Baytown restaurant because of a wet floor.

Laura Rivera Camacho filed a complaint on June 28 in the Harris County District Court against Ostioneria El Sol De Mexico Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 9, 2017, she was a business patron at defendant's restaurant in Baytown and was injured when she slipped and fell on a newly mopped floor. She alleges she suffered injuries to her neck, back, left shoulder, left arm and left hip as a result.

The plaintiff holds Ostioneria El Sol De Mexico Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide warning of the wet floor.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Tej R. Paranjpe and Benjamin H. Ruemke of Paranjpe & Mahadaas LLP in Houston.
