HOUSTON – A chicken restaurant in Katy is the target of a diner’s personal injury lawsuit.

In court papers filed against Slim Chickens Development Co., LLC on July 27 in the Harris County 334th District Court, Debra Ross claims she was injured while eating the defendant’s “boneless chicken strips” almost two years ago.

Ross asserts that she “bit on something hard and realized she broke a tooth as she chewed on a bone of the ‘boneless chicken strip’.”

She immediately spoke to the eatery’s assistant manager and “showed him both the bone and the tooth.”

The suit faults Slim Chickens for misrepresenting the entrée in question on its menu and failing to fully inspect the preparation of food to be served as boneless.

Consequently, Ross seeks unspecified monetary damages.

S. Greg Rushing of the law firm Rushing Legal, PLLC in Houston is representing the plaintiff.
