BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County woman alleges her breast implant was defective, ruptured and caused her pain and additional surgery.

Mary Sue Stout filed a complaint on Aug. 6 in the Jefferson County District Court against Allergan Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she began experiencing severe pain and discomfort on Dec. 1, 2016, after receiving defendant's Allergan Natrelle Biocell Textured Round Silicon Gel Breast Implants. The suit states later that month, diagnostic imaging confirmed that her left breast implant ruptured and she had surgery to remove the implant in February 2017.

The plaintiff holds Allergan Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn users of the dangers associated with using its breast implants and the implants were defective and/or unreasonably dangerous.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, with interest, costs, attorney's fees and such other and further relief to which she may be entitled. She is represented by Ernest W. Boyd, Jeremy Stone and Robert Daniel Garza of Butch Boyd Law Firm in Houston.
