HOUSTON – Alonti Corp. is the target of a former employee’s federal sexual harassment lawsuit.

Dallas County resident Amy Houston filed the suit on Aug. 22 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas, stating that her firing from her catering sales manager position was in retaliation to her complaints about unwanted advances from her supervisor.

Court papers say that Houston twice pushed back against sexual harassment. The first instance resulted in the termination of the culprit and the plaintiff’s transfer to Dallas, according to the original petition.

Houston was fired shortly after the purported second incident.

“Houston was subjected to a sexually harassing hostile work environment,” the suit says. “Alonti wrongfully discharged Houston.”

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Clayton D. Craighead of The Craighead Law Firm, PLLC in Houston.
