Lawsuits

HOUSTON – A woman alleges she incurred more than $350,000 in medical bills after she was injured at a The Woodlands hotel.

Tonya Jordan Gee and David Gee filed a complaint on Aug. 22 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Je Dunn Construction Group Inc. alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Feb. 19, 2017, Tonya Jordan Gee was a guest at The Westin at The Woodlands hotel and was injured when a paver broke as she was walking and caused her to fall through the pavement. She alleges she suffered injuries to her lower back, neck and knee and incurred medical expenses of approximately $361,407.27.

The plaintiffs hold Je Dunn Construction Group Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to take the necessary precautions to avoid the incident and failed to timely place warning signs to inform of the hazardous condition.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages in a reasonable amount, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and all other general and equitable relief. They are represented by Dennis D. Spurling of Dennis Spurling PLLC in Houston.
