HOUSTON – A nail spa has been sued after a customer sustained injuries while in its steam room.

Lilibeth Flores Trigo filed a lawsuit against Noa Houston 8, LLC, doing business as Noa Nail Bar & Lounge, on Sept. 25 in the Harris County 234th District Court.

Trigo explains that the defendant’s steam room “was very dark blue due to the lack of sufficient lights,” which caused her to be “immediately burned” on her lower right leg by “a steam jet which was uncovered and/or misplaced.”

She faults the business for not monitoring either the area or the equipment.

Consequently, Trigo seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Paul A. Higdon of the law firm Higdon Lawyers in Houston is representing the complainant.
