BEAUMONT — A visitor at Christus Hospital in Beaumont is suing Hospital Housekeeping Systems, Derrick Dennis and Christus Health Southeast Texas, after she allegedly slipped and fell on a wet floor.

Tham Thi Tran filed a complaint on Sept. 18, in the Jefferson County District Court, against the defendants alleging that they failed to keep the floors safe.

The plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 19, 2016, she was at Christus Hospital when she allegedly slipped and fell in a puddle of water in the hallway.

She suffered a patellar fracture on her left leg and other bodily injuries, resulting in pain, medical expenses, mental anguish, disfigurement and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff holds Hospital Housekeeping Systems, Derrick Dennis and Christus Health Southeast Texas responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to keep the hospital floors safe and failed to warn people of dangerous conditions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1,000,000 and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled.

She is represented by Sarah Y-Nhi Huynh and Pavel "Paul" Savinov of The Huynh Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
