HOUSTON – A patient alleges a Shenandoah physician failed to address the source of her foot pain during a surgery.

Rebecca Lamb filed a complaint on Oct. 23 in the Harris County District Court against David S. Jenson, DPM; David S. Jenson, DPM PA; and Professional Foot and Ankle Surgical Center PA alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 31, 2016, Jenson performed foot surgery on her to address her complaints of a bunion on her right foot. She alleges Jenson failed to repair the underlying issue and the issue became worse.

The plaintiff alleges Jenson violated the standard of care by performing procedures that were not medically necessary.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly violated the standard of care and failed to obtain an EMG before performing nerve decompression procedures.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Joseph B. Stephens of The Stephens Law Firm in Katy.
