HOUSTON – A local woman is suing a department store after she allegedly tripped and fell down an out of order escalator.

Pamela Brown brought a lawsuit against Dillard’s, Inc. on Oct. 29 in the Harris County 80th District Court, asserting the Sept. 23, 2017 incident at the defendant’s branch at Willowbrook Mall caused her to injure her ankle and right side of her body.

The business dimmed the lights prior to the subject event, which occurred moments before the scheduled closing time, according to the original petition.

Consequently, Brown seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Joshua R. Leske of the law firm Husain Law + Associates, PC in Houston.
