HOUSTON – A man alleges his employer terminated him after he injured his ankle at a Houston worksite.
Adolph Watthuber Jr. filed a complaint on Nov. 1 in the Harris County District Court against US Readymix Inc., Manjari Enterprises LLC and Texas Concrete alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 1, 2016, he was in the course and scope of his employment with US Readymix at a Houston site and injured his ankle when he stepped on a pipe that was concealed in tall grass. He alleges he was caused to experience pain, mental anguish and physical impairment and incurred medical expenses and lost wages.
He alleges when he asked for reimbursement of his medical expenses, he was terminated.
The plaintiff holds US Readymix Inc., Manjari Enterprises LLC and Texas Concrete responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn of the dangerous condition that they created and knew or should have known about.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 or less and such other and further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by John A. Carwile of The Law Offices of John A. Carwile in Houston.
