HOUSTON – A Harris County resident alleges she was injured at a La Porte restaurant when she fell after an employee ran into her.
Sandra Kay Gunnells filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in the Harris County District Court against Southern Komfort Kitchen LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 27, 2016, she was a patron at defendant's restaurant in La Porte when she was knocked down to the ground by an employee who was carrying a tray from the kitchen. She alleges she sustained serious injury to her left arm and shoulder.
The plaintiff holds Southern Komfort Kitchen LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently employed unqualified servants and/or employees and failed to properly train and supervise them.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, with interest and such other and further relief to which he may be legally entitled. She is represented by Mark A. Rubal of Waldron & Schneider in Houston.
