HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured at a Baytown restaurant because of a puddle on the floor.
Sherrill Ann Lewis filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the Harris County District Court against Saltgrass Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 8, 2017, she was an invitee at defendant's steak house in Baytown when she slipped and fell on a puddle of liquid on the floor while following a hostess to her table. She alleges she sustained serious injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain, physical impairment and disfigurement and lost wages.
The plaintiff holds Saltgrass Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the dangerous condition or to inform her about it.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of less than $75,000, and all other relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Jerry W. Mason and John A. Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
