HOUSTON – A Harris County man is seeking $1 million from the owner of a Houston property after he fell from a ladder and fractured his neck.

German Morales filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the Harris County District Court against Diamant Jubilee Properties LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 19, the defendant hired him to work on its Green River Drive, Houston property. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to deenergize exposed wires and these wires made contact with him while he was on a ladder, causing him to fall and sustain a lumbar fracture, neck fracture and other injuries.

The plaintiff holds Diamant Jubilee Properties LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a safe working area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Hector G. Longoria of Longoria Law Firm in Houston.
