HOUSTON – One of two companies sued last August for allegedly firing its CFO for conducting an investigation into sexual harassment has responded to the litigation.

Harris County District Court records show that Production Testing Services, Inc. provided an original answer to ex-executive David Paul Wride’s wrongful termination lawsuit on Dec. 3.

The 3-page document denies retaliating against Wride taking it upon himself two years ago to investigate a sexual harassment complaint.

“The defendant is not liable because the plaintiff’s own conduct provided good cause for discharge,” the response asserts.

W. Patrick Garner of the law firm Cokinos | Young in Houston is representing the defendant.
