HOUSTON – An alleged assault at a downtown Houston bar earlier this month is the subject of a Montgomery County man’s state district lawsuit.

Brandon Bonsib brought the suit against KG Main Group LLC, doing business as Live Sports Bar, on Dec. 18 in the Harris County 334th District Court.

In the original petition, Bonsib explains that he tried to leave the business with two of its mixing cups on Dec. 1 when four unidentified Live employees confronted him. The plaintiff “immediately and without resistance” returned the cups to the bar only for the workers to “brutally” assault him, the suit says.

Bonsib purportedly suffered four broken teeth and a laceration to the head. He claims that the employees took his bag containing his personal belongings as well as his gold chain.

The three John Does and Jane Doe join their employer as co-defendants in the case.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages in addition to a temporary restraining order.

He is represented by The Amaro Law Firm in Houston.
