HOUSTON – New Jersey-based Honeywell International Inc. is alleged in a Harris County man’s state district lawsuit to be at fault for a water leak at his residence.

Antonio Nunez and his insurer, Homeowners of America Insurance Company, filed the suit on Jan. 4 in the Harris County 157th District Court.

Court documents explain that Nunez discovered the leak through the second-floor ceiling of his home on Jan. 6, 2017, attributing the resulting water damage to a gas control valve manufactured by the defendant.

HOAIC investigated the loss, confirmed the source of the water, and determined Nunez’s losses to be in the amount of $15,815.26, the original petition says.

The law firm Smith Osburn Cross in Fort Worth is representing Nunez and HOAIC.
