HOUSTON – A man alleges the negligence of a vessel owner led to his injuries in 2017.

Hipolito Salazar filed a complaint on Jan. 4 in the Harris County District Court against Chipolbrok America Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was assigned by Cooper/Ports America to work aboard defendant's M/V Chipolbrok Atlantic. The suit states the plaintiff was injured on July 2, 2017, when he fell through a covering that was improperly secured. He alleges he sustained injuries to his shoulder, wrist, elbow, back, knee and body as a whole.

The plaintiff holds Chipolbrok America Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly install, maintain and inspect the platforms or pipe coverings on M/V Chipolbrok Atlantic.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other and further relief deemed appropriate. He is represented by Michael Patrick Doyle, Patrick Mason Dennis and Jeffrey Irvin Avery of Doyle LLP Trial Lawyers in Houston.
