HOUSTON – A local woman claims that a breakfast date with friends at a popular restaurant was ruined when she slipped and fell, recent Harris County District Court records show.
According to a lawsuit filed against Snooze Holdings, Inc. on Feb. 4 in the 80th District Court by Edwina Barrett, the incident occurred at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery located at 3217 Montrose Blvd. on Mar. 6, 2017.
“As the plaintiff was being escorted to her seat by the host, she slipped on a substance on the floor, the suit says.
Court papers fault the eatery for not providing cautionary signage alerting Barrett that the floor was slippery.
Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
She is represented by Steven K. Schwartz, II of The Schwartz Law Firm, PLLC in Houston.
