HOUSTON – A Pasadena woman alleges she was injured at an apartment complex because of an unsecured carpet.

San Juana Trevino filed a complaint on Feb. 6 in the Harris County District Court against Lotus Square Community LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 3, 2017, she was an invitee at defendant's apartment complex in Pasadena when she tripped on an unsecured carpet and fell. She alleges she sustained serious injuries which resulted in pain, mental anguish, lost wages, disfigurement and medical expenses as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Lotus Square Community LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to remedy or correct the condition and failed to provide adequate warning about it.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Kraig L. Rushing of Bronston Legal PC in Houston.
