HOUSTON – An employee of a Houston Asian food market alleges an unsafe work environment caused him to fall and injure his back and legs.

Danh Van Thanh Vu filed a complaint on Feb. 6 in the Harris County District Court against US Viet Hoa Food Corp., doing business as Viet Hoa International Foods, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 25, 2017, he was working for the defendant and was restocking shelves when he fell and sustained injuries to his back and legs.

The plaintiff holds US Viet Hoa Food Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a reasonably safe place to work and failed to provide the necessary equipment required to do his job safely.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount between $50,000 and $200,000 and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Scott J. Davenport of Davenport Law Firm PC in Houston.
