HOUSTON – A woman alleges a pool of gasoline on the ground of a Richmond station caused her to fall.

Jessica McGill filed a complaint on Feb. 12 in the Harris County District Court against Texas Petroleum Group LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 21, 2018, she was at defendant's Shell gas station in Richmond when she slipped on a pool of gasoline and fell to the concrete ground. She alleges she sustained severe injuries to her body that resulted in pain, mental anguish, distress, disfigurement as well as loss of earnings.

The plaintiff holds Texas Petroleum Group LLC responsible because allegedly despite having knowledge of the existing unreasonably dangerous condition on its premises, defendant allegedly did nothing to make the condition safe or otherwise warn plaintiff about it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Michael S. Tilton and Richard M. Franks of Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
