HOUSTON — A Texas woman is suing a trucking company, alleging a relative died due to the defendant's negligence.

Connie Le Mar, individually and as representative of the estate of Jeffrey Le Mar, filed a complaint March 1 in Harris County District Court against PE Ben USA Inc and John Doe, alleging negligence and failure to prevent mechanical defects.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 17, 2018, Jeffrey Le Mar was required to drive a PE Ben tractor-trailer that had just been repaired and not the vehicle he usually operated. When Le Mar tried to take a curve in the road, the vehicle continued to go straight, ran into a culvert and rolled over.

The suit says Le Mar was airlifted to a hospital where he suffered four heart attacks and eventually died.

Connie Le Mar seeks trial by jury, damages, attorney fees and court costs. She is is represented by attorneys Betty Feng and M. Paul Skrabanek of Pierce Skrabanek PLLC in Houston.
