Vehicle occupants allege they were crashed into by USPS truck

BEAUMONT —Two vehicle occupants are suing the postal service, alleging a negligent driver caused a car crash that injured the plaintiffs.

Joseph M. Zachary and Hal Darby, both of Beaumont, filed a complaint March 18 in the Beaumont Division of the Eastern District of Texas against the U.S. Postal Service, alleging negligence.

The plaintiffs alleges they suffered serious injuries Dec. 19, 2016, when Sean K. Liedy, operating a postal service vehicle, failed to yield and pulled out into traffic, striking the plaintiffs' vehicle. The suit says the plaintiffs sustained physical pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses.

Zachary and Darby seek a jury trial, damages, court costs, interest and all proper relief. They are represented by attonrey B. Adam Terrell of Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell LLP in Beaumont.
