HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing her employer through a class action, alleging she and other employees were not paid properly for overtime hours worked.

Misty Hawkins, individually and on behalf of others similarly situated and former employees of the defendant, filed a class action complaint April 8 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Fox Corporate Housing LLC and Tana Leach, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Hawkins was employed by Fox Corporate Housing in The Woodlands in August 2017 as a senior account executive. The plaintiff says she regularly worked more than 40 hours a week but was not paid the appropriate rate of one and a half times her hourly rate for overtime as required by the FLSA.

Hawkins seeks trial by jury, actual and liquidated damages, attorney fees, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys G. Scott Fiddler and Harris J. Huguenard of Jackson Walker LLP in Houston.
