Houston condo owner alleges association failed to repair hurricane damages

HOUSTON — A Houston condo owner is suing a condo association, alleging his property was not repaired following damages from Hurricane Harvey.

Ian Marsac filed a complaint Aug. 14 in the Harris County District Court against Forester's Pond Condominiums Associates Inc., et al, alleging negligence and liability.

According to the complaint, Marsac's condo was damaged during Hurricane Harvey in August-September 2017. The suit states that the defendant has been negligent in providing the repairs that are owed the plaintiff and have failed to compensate Marsac for damages suffered.

Marsac seeks relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury, court costs and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorneys Brent M. Cordell and Antone L. Peterson of Smith & Hassler in Houston.
