HOUSTON – The Buzbee Law Firm has brought a lawsuit on behalf of a woman claiming sexual assault.

Seeking more than $1 million in damages, Jane Doe filed suit against Intercontinental Hotels Group, Houston Hospitality Services and Houston Domestic Placement Services.

According to the lawsuit, Doe was a bartender working at the Crowne Plaza Houston Galleria when she was assaulted and harassed on four separate occasions by three different employees.

The incidents started in 2016 but due to the statute of limitations the lawsuit involves only the incidents dating back to September 2018.

In 2016, Doe alleges a chef grabbed her breasts. She reported the incident but no action was taken.

In September 2018, a female employee threatened Doe and shoved her. Doe reported the incident but nothing was done.

In February 2019, Doe went to the kitchen to grab some supplies when one of the chefs began to rub his body up and down hers while groping her breasts and buttocks.

Doe told her supervisor. However, no investigation was conducted, nor was any action taken against the employee.

In June 2019, Doe was unfairly terminated from her job. The defendants did not provide her with a reason, the suit states.

She is accusing the defendants of gross negligence.

Attorneys Tony Buzbee and Cornelia Brandfield-Harvey represent her.
