New home visitor alleges builder's negligence caused her injuries

HOUSTON — A Montgomery County woman is suing a Harris County home builder, alleging she was injured while visiting a new house.

Jan Jackson filed a complaint n Aug, 29 in Harris County District Court against LGI Homes — Texas LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 16, Jackson was invited by LGI Homes to view a new house in Harris County. The suit alleges Jackson slipped and fell on a hazardous condition that was not properly cleaned up. The plaintiff said she has suffered severe and permanent injuries and disfigurement, leading to medical, hospital and pharmaceutical expenses.

Jackson seeks trial by jury, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. She is represented by attorney Thomas M. Fountain of Thomas M. Fountain & Associates PC in The Woodlands.
