Baseball fan alleges she was injured parking at Astros game

HOUSTON — A Jefferson County woman is suing a parking lot owner near Minute Maid Park, alleging she was injured due to tripping on a dangerous condition.

Sherry Renee Anthony filed a complaint Aug. 29 in Harris County District Court against Lam Parking Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on May 27 Anthony was attending a Houston Astros baseball game at Minute Maid Park and parked her vehicle in Lam Parking lot at the corner of Hamilton and Franklin. The plaintiff alleges that while walking toward the sidewalk her foot caught in an uncovered and open storm drain pipe. The suit states Anthony fell, injuring her right foot and ankle, left knee, thigh and hip, lower back, mid-back, neck, clavicle and right hand.

Anthony seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney' fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. She is represented by Larry C. Hunter of The Ferguson Law Firm LLP in Beaumont.
