Patron slips on greasy floor at Church's Chicken, sues for $1M

HOUSTON — A Harris County customer is suing a chicken restaurant, alleging fell and was injured on a greasy floor.

Mozhgan Shamsi filed a complaint Sept. 4 in Harris County District Court against Church's Chicken also known as Bah Texas LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Shamsi was a guest at Church's Chicken 12350 Westheimer Road, Suite N., Houston on June 13. The suit alleges as Shamsi entered the restaurant, she slipped slip on a greasy portion of ground. The plaintiff said she fell and sustained a broken right arm, leading to pain and suffering and medical expenses.

The plaintiff accuses Church's Chicken of failure to inspect the premises.

Shamsi seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all other appropriate relief. She is represented by attorneys Adam Q. Voyles and McKenna Harper of Lubel Voyles LLP in Houston.
