Galveston couple alleges Keller Williams sold then completely different property than advertised on MLS

State Court
Foreclosure

GALVESTON – A Galveston County couple has filed suit against Keller Williams and three of its real estate agents over allegations they sold them a different piece of property than what was advertised on the MLS.

Ann Nguyen and Clarence Jones filed a complaint Nov. 5 in the Galveston County District Court against Keller Willams Realty Inc., Keller Williams Platinum, The Loken Group Inc., Lance Loken, Ann Walker and Kristina Nguyen alleging negligence and violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA).

According to the suit, the plaintiffs purchased what they thought was a 12,800-square-foot corner lot in San Leon as listed on the MLS for $40,000 in June 2018. They claim they instead purchased a completely different property that was not the one advertised for sale as depicted in the MLS materials and photographs by listing agents Nguyen, Loken and Williams.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Neil Baron of The Baron Law Firm in League City.
