Dorsett Brothers Concrete worker alleges injuries while operating mixing truck

HOUSTON — A Harris County man alleges he was injured while operating a concrete mixing truck. 

Hector Durate filed a complaint Dec. 16 in the Harris County District Court against Dorsett Brothers Concrete Supply Inc., alleging negligence. 

According to his complaint, on June 12, 2018, Durate was operating a concrete mixing truck as part of his employment with Dorsett Brothers. He alleges a "heavy component" fell off the truck and struck him in the foot causing injuries, pain and suffering and medical expenses. 


The plaintiff alleges Dorsett Brothers failed to provide a safe work environment. 

Durate seeks monetary relief between $100,000 to $150,000, interest, court costs and all other just relief. He is represented by attorneys David Mestemaker, Norman Straub and Jonathan Zumwalt of Mestemaker, Straub & Zumwalt in Houston.
