HOUSTON — A Houston woman is suing her maid service after they flushed cleaning rags down her toilet causing more than $11,000 in plumbing repairs.

Margaret Waisman filed a complaint Dec. 26 in the Harris County District Court against Lisseth Bautista and Adrian Salgado doing business as Best Maids Service alleging breach of implied warranty of good and workmanlike repairs, violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act (DTPA) and breach of contract.

Waisman alleges in her complaint that one of best Maids employees flushed cleaning rags down the toilet during several cleaning visits made to her home in Houston between Aug. 26 and Sept. 23, 2019. She claims the rags caused her septic line to become clogged and required plumbing services costing her $11,500.

Waisman seeks monetary relief of $11,500, interest and all other appropriate relief. She is represented by Toby Easley of The Easley Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
