Man injured when vessel struck Targa Midstream caisson clams negligence

HOUSTON — Targa Midstream is facing a lawsuit filed by a man who suffered broken bones when his ship struck one of their caissons.  

William Wajdak filed a complaint  Dec. 24 in the Harris County District Court against Targa Midstream Services LLC and others alleging negligence and gross negligence.

Wajdak was traveling to a chemical plant on the Houston Ship Channel while working for Texas Mooring. During the nighttime on Dec. 25, 2017 the ship collided with a caisson owned by Targa that contained no visible markers or lighting. Wajdak was thrown to the floor of the ship during the collision and suffered broken bones in his right arm and back. He alleges Targa's negligence for not properly marking the caisson.

Wajdak seeks monetary relief, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Anthony Buzbee and Christopher Leavitt of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
