Woman who fell at Harris County Home Depot claims negligence

HOUSTON —A woman who slipped and fell at a Harris County Home Depot Store is claiming the home improvement retailer's negligence. 

Angela Velazquez filed a complaint Jan. 20 in the Harris County District Court against Home Depot Inc., alleging negligence. 

Velazquez was at the Home Depot store in Harris County on April 15, 2018. She alleges that she slipped and fell on a "substance on the floor" and suffered injuries. She claims Home Depot should have been aware of the dangerous condition and failed to inspect or warn of the condition. 

Velazquez seeks monetary relief of less than $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Richard Presutti, Meredith Smith and Anthony Presutti of The Law Office of Richard J. Presutti PC in Houston.
