Woman who fell at Tostada Restaurant sues for more than $1 million

HOUSTON — A woman who claims she slipped and fell on a substance while at Tostada restaurant is seek more than $1 million in damages. 

Merarit Rodriguez filed a complaint Jan. 22 in the Harris County District Court against Tostada Regia Crosstimbers LLC and Tostada Regia Holdings LLC., alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, Rodriguez was at the defendants' restaurant on Crosstimbers Street in Houston on April 29, 2018. She alleges that she slipped and fell on "a substance" and suffered "significant injuries. She claims the defendants failed to timely and properly eliminate the substance which created a dangerous condition. 

Rodriguez seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by John Caston and Michael Tilton of Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
