Woman sues Kroger, property manager after fall in parking lot

HOUSTON — A woman who fell in the parking lot of a Pasadena Kroger is suing the grocery store chain and property management company claiming negligence. 

Romelia Deleon filed a complaint Jan. 28 in the Harris County District Court against the Kroger Company doing business as Kroger Texas LP, DDR-SAU Pasadena Red Bluff LP and Henry S. Miller Realty Management LLC alleging premises liability and negligence.  

Deleon was shopping at the Kroger grocery store on Red Bluff Road in Pasadena on Feb. 12, 2018. She alleges that while walking into the store from the parking lot, she fell over a "little lip" on the pavement and suffered injuries. She claims the defendants failed to inspect and properly maintain its premises.

Deleon seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Adam Ramji of The Ramji Law Group in Houston.
