HOUSTON – A man is suing General Motors, claiming his new Chevy Silverado has defects in its transmission and electrical system that are unrepairable.

Kenneth Pike filed a complaint Feb. 10 in the Harris County District Court against General Motors LLC alleging breach of written warranty and breach of implied warranty in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Pike purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado on Sept. 18, 2019 for $50,271.00. The vehicle came with a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty. He alleges shortly after his purchase, he experienced defects with the vehicle including issues with the transmission, brakes and electrical system that authorized dealers were unable to repair.

Pike seeks monetary relief, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by John Barker of Krohn & Moss LTD in Chicago.
