HOUSTON — A man claims his father suffered a fatal fall at Humble healthcare facility.
Vito Vargas, Jr., individually and on behalf of the Estate of Vito Vargas filed a complaint Feb. 13 in the Harris County District Court against Focused Post Acute Care Partners LLC, Focused Care at Humble and others alleging negligence.
Vito Vargas became a resident at Focused Care at Humble on Dec. 26, 2017. The plaintiff alleges that during Vargas' residency, he suffered falls, skin tears and bruising due to Focused Care at Humble failing to provide a "competent and adequate staff." He alleges that Vargas' fall on Feb. 13, 2018 resulted in blunt force trauma to his head and neck and resulted in his death on Feb. 19, 2018.
Vargas seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Bridgit White, Mark Midani and Tara Afrakhteh Milliff of The Midani Law Firm in Houston.
