Man claims he fell over concrete car stopper, suffered injuries at Houston Fiesta Mart

HOUSTON — A man who fell over a concrete car stopper at a Fiesta Mart in Houston is claiming the store's negligence. 

Jorge Ruiz filed a complaint Feb. 18 in the Harris County District Court against Fiesta Mart LLC and Fiesta Mart Store #11 alleging negligence. 

Ruiz was shopping at the Fiesta Mart on Airline Drive in Houston. He alleges that he suffered injuries after falling over a broken "concrete car stopper" that was displaced. Ruiz claims as a result of his injuries, he incurred $8,514.75 in medical expenses and other damages and alleges Fiesta Mart's negligence for failing to inspect the property for the dangerous condition. 

Ruiz seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Attorney Dion Craig in Houston.
