HOUSTON — A couple is claiming their insurance agent has failed to provide them auto liability flood coverage as outlined in their policy's contract.

Debra and Allen Collins filed a complaint Feb. 24 in the Harris County District Court against Kristopher McDaniel alleging negligence.

The Collins entered into a contact with McDaniel on March 15, 2019 for auto liability insurance through Liberty Mutual. The plaintiffs allege the coverage included damage caused by flooding and that they specifically told McDaniel they were in a flood zone. The Collins claim McDaniel "has failed to deliver" insurance coverage for flood damage.

The Collins seek monetary relief of $100,000 or less, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Attorney Tiffany Kuhl in Houston.
