HOUSTON —  A Corpus Christi man is claiming the negligence of Quintana Energy after suffering injuries during an equipment collapse at a New Mexico job site.

Bryan Thibodeaux filed a complaint  Feb. 24 in the Harris County District Court against Quintana Energy Services Inc., alleging negligence.

Thibodeaux was working for Supreme Service & Speciality Co., Inc., at a job site in Loving, New Mexico. He alleges that he was told by the defendants that it would be safe for him to setup his equipment in order to cut a stuck pipe. Thibodeaux alleges that while setting up his equipment, the pipe slipped and collapsed his equipment. He claims that while running to safety, he fell on a large rock and suffered injuries.

Thibodeaux seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by R. Blake Brunkenhoefer of Brunkenhoefer PC in Corpus Christi.
