HOUSTON — A man is suing Home Depot and a paving contractor alleging he fell over bolts sticking up in the parking lot and suffered injuries.

Juan Alvarado filed a complaint March 2 in the Harris County District Court against The Home Depot Inc., Home Depot U.S.A., Inc and Pavecon LTD Co.

Alvarado was in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Mary 25, 2018. He alleges that while walking to the store entrance, he tripped and fell over bolts that were sticking up in the parking lot where Pavecon was performing construction work. Alvarado claims he fractured his shoulder in the fall and claims Home Depot and Pavecon should have been aware of the dangerous condition and failed to warn of the condition.

Alvarado seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Attorney Sydney Meriwether Womack in Houston.
