HOUSTON — A couple claims AutoNation Ford sold them a F250 truck with a contaminated fuel system.

Jose Martinez, et ux., Sandra Martinez, filed a complaint March 3 in the Harris County District Court against Charlie Thomas Ford LTD, doing business as AutoNation Ford Gulf Freeway and Ford Motor Credit Company LLC, alleging liability in violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and fraud.

The plaintiffs purchased a 2018 Ford F250 from AutoNation Ford for $60,852.03 on Oct. 19, 2019. They allege that two months after purchasing the truck, it began to leak fuel and they discovered there was contamination in the truck's fuel system when they purchased the vehicle, which would cost $11,798.76 to replace.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of up to $100,000, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by R. Douglas Scott of The Law Offices of Craig Zimmerman in Arlington, Texas.
