MIDLAND — Jones Pipeline is facing a class action, alleging it failed to compensate its pipeline inspectors for overtime and took illegal deductions out of their pay.

Job Moscot, individually and on behalf of others similarly situated, filed a complaint March 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Midland-Odessa Division against Jones Pipeline Services LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Moscot began working for Jones Pipeline Services in February 2018 as an HSE (health and safety executive) specialist who performs inspections of the company's oil and gas pipelines. He alleges he often works 65 hours per week without overtime compensation. Moscot also claims he and other HSE specialists were not paid on a salary basis and that "improper deductions" were taken out of their salaries.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other appropriate relief. They are represented by Richard Burch and Michael Burke of Bruckner Burch PLLC in Houston and Andrew Dunlap of Josephson Dunlap in Houston.
