HOUSTON — A woman who slipped and fell at a Houston HEB grocery and suffered injuries is claiming the store's negligence.

Theresa Parker filed a complaint March 10 in the Harris County District Court against H.E.B. Grocery Company LP alleging negligence.

Parker was at the H.E.B. on Buffalo Speedway in Houston on Sept. 4, 2019. She alleges that she stepped on "liquid and/or a piece of food" while walking through the store which caused her to slip and fall. Parker claims she suffered injuries and has incurred medical expenses, other damages, and that the store failed to correct or warn of the hazardous condition.

Parker seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by M. Paul Skrabanek of Pierce Skrabanek PLLC in Houston.
