GALVESTON — A seaman is alleging there were unsafe working conditions that caused him to suffer injuries while working aboard a Ryan Marine vessel.

Marcos Charallambous filed a complaint March 23 in the Galveston County District Court against Ryan Marine Services Inc., alleging negligence.

Charallambous was working as a seaman aboard the MV Citation owned by Ryan Marine. He alleges that the unsafe working conditions on the vessel led to him suffering injury to his knee, hip, back and other parts of his body. Charallambous claims Ryan Marine failed to properly maintain and inspect the vessel or probably train its crew in violation of Coast Guard, OSHA and BSEE rules.

Charallambous seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Jason Itkin, Noah Wexler and Ben Bireley of Arnold & Itkin LLP in Houston.
