GALVESTON — A woman is claiming defamation alleging she was falsely accused of abusing her children and other criminal activity through another person's Facebook posts and third party communications.
Andrea Thompson filed a complaint March 27 in the Galveston County District Court against Lauree Strunk alleging defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Thompson alleges in her complaint that in 2019, Strunk began to falsely accuse her of criminal activity that included abusing her children. She alleges Strunk defamed her through Facebook posts, voice mails and other third party communications.
Thompson seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. She is represented by Attorney Tom Dickens in Galveston.
