GALVESTON — Schlitterbahn Waterpark is facing a negligence claim after a woman hit the wall on a ride and suffered injuries.
Wanda Clark filed a compliant March 24 in the Galveston County District Court against Galveston Island Water Park L.P., doing business as Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston alleging negligence.
Clark was at the Schlitterbahn Water Park in Galveston on Oct. 13, 2018. She alleges that while riding the SurfWave ride, she became separated from the board and thrown into the ride wall. Clark suffered fractures to her toes and right foot which required her to have surgery and "hardware implants." Clark claims the ride attendant instructed her to ride the board with her legs straight and toes pointed.
Clark seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Sarnie Randle, Jr., in Houston.
